In this video, students will understand that the cells are the basic unit of life, be able to name and describe several single-celled organisms, be able to name basic cell parts, be able to describe the differences between animal and plant cells, and will learn that similar cells group together to form tissue."

Daily Diligence

BE DILIGENT TO PRESENT YOURSELF APPROVED TO GOD,A WORKER WHO DOES NOT NEED TO BE ASHAMED, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH.   -2TIM. 2:15

Internationally acclaimed violinist Midori believes that focused, diligent practice is the key to performance. While playing a rigorous schedule of 90 concerts a year, she still practices an average of 5 or 6 hours a day. Jane Ammeson, in NWA WorldTraveler magazine, quoted Midori as saying: “I have to practice for my job and I practice every day. . . . It’s not really the hours, but the quality of the work that needs to be done. I see with students, that they play and they call it practice, but they are not listening and not watching. If you have your textbook open, it doesn’t mean that you are studying.”

Winning Rocks

The other day I won a door prize from Animal Ark (a Port Alberni Pet Store). I entered the prize at the pet stores customer appreciation day. There was free cupcakes and coffee.

They have a Siamese fighting fish in a Garfield fish tank that is legit. Also there were dear antlers for sale for dogs to chew on.

We didn't get to have hotdogs that the Army Cadets were cooking as we showed up to early.

The owner called me yesterday to tell me I won and to pick up my prize. There was a Tshirt and lots of treats for my dog, Oreo.
